Cyclops
Cyclops is a Max object for analyzing and tracking live video. Through a simple interface, Cyclops can track performers and users with a video camera and analyze greyscale and color information from the live image. The resulting data can used to generate control MIDI, audio and video in Max. Typical applications include tracking dancers or other performers on a stage, interacting with users in interactive installations, and creating video-tracking musical instruments and performance interfaces. You can download a free demo. To order Cyclops go to Cycling74.com. Max Objects & Patches I have made several patches and external objects available free for non-commercial use. You can download them below. All objects are now Fat (PPC-native) unless otherwise noted. If you intend to use these objects and/or patches in a commercial application or setting, please contact me via email to discuss arrangements.
